Fal Oyster Wink 2017

After several years pushing the boat out with our Pop Up Ostraca we have decided to go back to basics for the four day Fal Oyster Wink, back to where it all began in 2009 when I was told I couldn't sell my oysters in the main marquee, I was invited to Pop Up at The 'Front Bar on Customs House Quay, Falmouth.

Whilst we have been looking for a partner or investor for Ostraca we have been busy promoting the pop up at beautiful festivals and weddings from Cornwall to Kent to North Wales the Cornish Oysters we have showcased have been enjoyed by all!

This year is the first that we can exploit the invasive Pacific Oysters that have suddenly appeared in the thousands around the intertidal waters of the Helford and now the Fal.

The Fal Rocks are just as delicate as the fantastic Porthilly Rocks we have supplied in the summer for many years, however some Fal Rocks are the size of a plate as they haven't been harvested until now!
