Kernow Eats at Pop Up Gatherings

7th Bi Annual Fal Oyster Gathering - Customs House Quay, Falmouth Haven, Cornwall

Easter Weekend: Friday 25th - Monday 28th March 2016 - 1000-2200

We have popped up in various locations since 2009 and this Easter we are at Customs House Quay, which also the site of our 'Fal Oyster Wink' in October.

For those of you that braved last years gathering (thank you!) we have a slightly different concept again this year. We are working together with Kernow Eats for this summers Pop Up Gathering Tour, so the focus is on small pop up street food traders, like ourselves, and the converted trucks and vehicles we have built to showcase local seafood and other great food producers.

Your host is Chris Ranger form Fal Oyster Ltd. - "Its an outdoor street food banquet, where you can sit with family and friends, enjoy a starter, then a main and then a pudding along with a drink from the bar - all from different traders! - we will have our Pop Up Pound (PU£) where you can buy 25PU£ for £20, saving you 20% when you spend it with our traders over the 4 day gathering"

From the freshest wild Cornish Native Fal Oysters, served at the #ShellfishBRUT Bar alongside Camel Valley Sparkling BRUT, Rebel Brewery Fal Oyster Stout and Skinners Pennycomequick. And we will also have Knightor Wines, Dynamite Valley and Black Rock Breweries this year!

We have the head chef Chris Oakes from The Lemon Arms, Mylor Bridge opening our kitchen on Good Friday where we will be cooking Porthilly Rocks in many different ways. Then a choice of mains being served on different days, including Cornish Mackerel BBQ, Salvador Dhali vegetarian and Cornish Venison in the Ostraca Kitchen takeover.

Also The Tube coffee van, Proper Pancakes and Cecil on Ice Cocktails, will be with us so something for the whole family to taste whilst enjoying the atmosphere in Falmouth's old Customs House quarter.

"The emphasis is more on the 'food and the trader' than other other events" said Ranger "I'm working with Kernow Eats on the Pop Up Gatherings Summer Tour where we will be taking our favourite traders to amazing venues so our regulars can get the same great service but at stunning pop up locations around the south west."

Ostraca - Pop Up Restaurant & Bar does have a base on the beach when not on tour, Crinnis, Carlyon Beach, St Austell, which is where the convoy will be heading for a second summer!
